The next day we drove to Kennebunk, Maine where Matt's uncle's family has a condo. It's funny how I think Maine is so far away, but it took less than two hours to get there. I've never been to the area so Mike drove Matt and I around and gave us the "official tour." (Since I like cars, I must say that Mike's Saab was really cool.) The quaint town revolves around the ocean where people fish, sail, and eat seafood all the time. George Bush Sr. owns a huge house in Kennebunkport, a town right next to Kennebunk, so we got to see that along with some beaches, local restaurants, and the downtown shops. Matt and I went to a place called "Hurricane's" for dinner. It was right on the water so that was really nice. I ate halibut and creme brulee for the first time and really like both.
We only stayed in Maine for one night and then on Sunday I had to head back to the Boston airport. The weekend went by so fast, so I guess time does fly when you're having fun.
I made a little collage of pictures from my trip to Boston and Maine. I like the software that came with the Canon scanner I recently bought. Now I can do cool things to the photos like this!

All of the pictures have an added "fuzziness" effect. I thought it looked cool. The bottom left picture is Matt and his Uncle Mike on the beach. The upper left picture is Matt and I on the swan boats in Boston Common. We had to ride the train to and from Southboro so at the top is Matt getting on the train. The upper right picture is in Maine. I thought it was funny how there were a ton of signs on the sign post. I don't know how anyone can find the right sign as they are zooming by. To get an idea of the size of the sign post, I'm the little person standing to the left of it. The bottom right picture is also in Boston Common where Matt and I are trying to replicate the frogs. I don't know if we really succeeded! The bottom picture is me at a Maine beach, and the middle non-fuzzy picture is Matt and I on a neighboring beach the next morning.
